A 22-year-old girl was allegedly molested and thrashed by a youth in Govindpuri area of south Delhi here, police said today.
The incident took place around 9 PM yesterday when the victim, a journalism student, was going to her home situated in Govindpuri transit camp area.
"When the girl was going home, one Manoj, a local, along with his friends allegedly passed a lewd comment on her. Manoj then molested victim, who later narrated the incident to her mother," said a police official.
The victim's mother then went to Manoj and scolded him for his act, he said, adding that in the meantime, Manoj slapped the girl and fled the spot.
"Police have arrested Manoj and a case has been registered against him and his three friends, who would be arrested soon," official added.
