Man, his mother among four booked for murder

A man and his mother were among four others booked for allegedly killing his wife in Khedi Kanti village, police said today.

The Ateli police of Mahendergarh district registered a case of murder against Anil, husband of the deceased Bhavana Devi (24), her mother-in-law Munni Devi and two others, all four accused persons residents of Khedi Kanti village, about 11 km from Ateli, police said today.

The case was registered on a complaint yesterday made by Murti Devi, mother of the deceased Bhavana and a resident of Dhanonda village of Mahendergarh district.

In her complaint, Murti Devi told that her daughter Bhavana got married to Anil about five years ago.
 

She alleged that Bhavana, who succumbed to her burn injuries at the PGIMS, Rohtak on October 17, was allegedly set on fire after sprinkling kerosene by her in-laws at Khedi Kanti village on October 1 following which she was admitted to the hospital at Rohtak, they said.

A senior police official of Ateli today said that the accused would be arrested soon.
