Some people were taking fertilisers to Kanhauli village on the Indo-Nepal border when the jawans on patrol duty suspected them of smuggling the commodity from across the border and a clash took place between them, Superintendent of Police Vivek Kumar said.
The SSB jawans fired several rounds on the villagers injuring one of them, he said adding that the unidentified injured villager was admitted to local hospital.
