A man was awarded one-year imprisonment in a cheque bounce case by a local court which also slapped a fine of Rs 20 lakh on him.

Convict Maya Prakash of Tatarapur village here had borrowed Rs five lakh from Sarvesh Kumar of Jinehra village on April 27, 2010 and promised to return the money in a month's time.
