A 60-year-old man allegedly attempted to kill himself today by jumping in front of a moving train at the Vidhan Sabha metro station, police said.

Surendra Kumar (60) jumped in front of a Huda City Centre-bound train, but was saved by the CISF personnel, the police said, adding that the man suffered minor scratches.

Kumar's son Dheeraj was informed about the incident. Dhiraj accompanied his father to the Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital, the police said.

A note was recovered from the site, in which Kumar had cited domestic issues as the reason for his act, they added.
