A 22-year-old man was arrested here for allegedly murdering a man by hitting him with a spoon on his forehead suspecting him of having an affair with his wife.
The accused, Bhagwan Dass, attacked Raju, a resident of Jhansi, UP by a spoon on his face in Baljeet Nagar following a quarrel yesterday, said Deputy Commissioner of police Alok Kumar.
Doctors declared him brought dead when his brother took him to Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel Hospital, Kumar said.
The victim's brother, in his police complaint, said that when he came to Raju's room, he found that one person was hitting him with a spoon on his face.
When he raised an alarm, the assailant fled away from the spot, but he was later arrested.
