A man was shot at and then hacked to death by his neighbour following an argument in southwest Delhi's Dabri area, police said today.
Raju (40) and his neighbour Nawab Khan were involved in betting, but due recent police crackdown they had to wind up their operations, a senior police officer said.
A few days back, the two got into a fight as both of them suspected each other of being police informers. Last night, while returning from a wedding, Raju met Khan and they again got into an argument. Following this, the former was shot at twice and then hacked to death with a sword by Khan, he said.
A case has been registered in this connection and police is searching for Khan, the officer said.
