Man killed by tiger in West Bengal

A man was killed by a tiger when he was catching crabs near the Sunderbans in West Bengal's 24 Parganas (South) district today.

Sekhar Biswas (30) and two others were catching crabs at Pirktali when a tiger attacked them and was about to drag him to the forest, police said.

Biswas's accomplices managed to pull out him from the jaws of the tiger and admitted him to the Boraba block hospital.

He succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

Another person, Bhagabati Mandal, was also killed by a tiger in a nearby area when was catching crabs on August seven.
