A man was today killed and five others were injured when a fire broke out in the area where fire cracker shops had been set up in Rae Bareli district, police here said.
The incident took place at Ratapur crossing in Mill area police station area when an autorickshaw on which crackers had been brought for shops, which had been set up with the permission of the administration, to sell overturned and caught fire, police said.
The fire soon spread to the shops killing a man identified as Rohit Kumar (22) and injuring five others, who have been admitted to the district hospital, police added.
