Man killed for opposing daughter-in-law's illicit affair

A 65-year-old man died after he was allegedly beaten up and crushed under a vehicle by the paramour of his daughter-in-law in Sihwali village, police said today.

Bhawneh Sharma was first beaten up by the paramour Rajendra Singh and his four accomplices and later run over by a vehicle in the Rajpura area yesterday, Rajpura police station SO Kashmir Singh said.

He was killed for opposing his daughter-in-law's illicit relationship, he said.

A case has been lodged against Singh and his four accomplices Brijesh, Rajesh, Pappu and Suresh in this regard. None of them has been arrested so far, Singh said.
