Man killed in brawl over money lending

A 35-year-old man was allegedly killed during a scuffle with his acquaintance over some money lending issue, police said today.

The deceased, Mahesh, a resident of New Vikas Nagar Colony in Loni area, got into a brawl with the accused Salman over a disputed money transaction between them, SHO of Loni Police Station Gorakh Nath Yadav said, adding the duo were in an inebriated condition.

According to the SHO, Salman allegedly pushed Mahesh against an electric pole following which he was injured and fell unconscious.

Mahesh succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital, Yadav said, adding, a case under Section 304 of the IPC has been registered against Salman.
 

The accused has been arrested, he added.
