The clash broke out on January 26 after police registered a case against Shabir Ahmad Parry of Pattan area for kidnapping a minor girl from Dandmoh Chandoosa area, they said.
The families of the alleged kidnapper and the victim clashed and during which the uncle of the girl Ghulam Mohammad Khanday got killed.
A case has been registered in this regard while the further probes are on, police added.
