A bystander was crushed to death when a crane fell on him while lifting a toppled lorry on a busy road here today.
A large crowd gathered at the spot as the crane was brought to remove the lorry, stranded in the middle of the road with a burst tyre affecting traffic, police said.
While lifting the lorry, the crane suddenly broke and fell on Shivakumar, a painter, killing him on the spot.
