A man today died in an attack by a tiger after he apparently entered its enclosure at a wildlife park in eastern China, the second such incident in six months.

The incident occurred at Tiger Hill enclosure at Youngor Wildlife Park in Ningbo city, about 200 kilometres south of Shanghai.

The tiger was shot dead by the police.

The surveillance footage is currently being reviewed, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

In July last year, a woman was killed by a tiger after jumping out of a car in a Beijing animal park while trying to save her daughter from a tiger attack.
