A 50-year-old man was allegedly killed by three persons over a land dispute in Shankarpura village of Bundi district, police said today.

The body of the man, identified as Joshi Kanjar, a resident of Shankarpura village, was today recovered from an agriculture field in the village and was handed over to the family after a postmortem, Station House Officer at Dablana police station Satyaveer Meena said.

Police have booked three persons in this connection and initiated an investigation. However, no arrests have been made so far, Meena said.

Prima facie it appeared the man was allegedly choked to death, he added.

On a report by the deceased's son, police have lodged a case under Sections 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code against three persons of the village, the SHO said.

The man was reportedly engaged in a land dispute with three persons and the village Panchayat had yesterday called to resolve the dispute, he said.

The deceased man was reportedly brought to terms with them in the Panchyat meeting, he added.
