A 32-year-old Dalit man was allegedly murdered and his body thrown in a pond in Sakaldiha area here, police said.
The body of Jaiprakash, a native of Similpur village, was found floating in a pond this morning and his family members have alleged that he was murdered, Superintendent of Police Sharad Sachan said.
A case against four persons, including a policeman, has been registered, the SP said, adding that agitated locals blocked Sakaldiha-Chandauli road in protest against the killing.
