A worker was killed while working in an underground tunnel of Kaleshwaram irrigation project, on the outskirts of Mallapur village in neighbouring Peddapalli district today, police said.
The deceased identified as one Devijith Sonuval (25), was working in the underground tunnel. At about 6 am, a boulder of the tunnel, fell on his head resulting in his death, said Dharmaram sub-inspector K Babu Rao, under whose jurisdiction the area falls.
Sonuval hails from Assam, said police.
