A 25-year-old man allegedly killed his female cousin with a sharp weapon in Ganjur village in Latur district of Maharashtra before committing suicide, police said on Wednesday.
The deceased are identified as Feroz Pathan (25) and Afsana Pathan (17), both residents of Ganjur village.
Feroz's body was found hanging from a tree in a farm near the village while that of Afsana's at her house with her throat slit on Tuesday, an official said.
Police are trying to ascertain the motive behind the crime.
