A 45-year-old man allegedly killed his daughter's father-in-law and his friend and tried to hide their identity by pouring acid on their faces in Burari area of the north Delhi district, police said today.
Police said that the victims have been identified as 46-year-old Shamsher Pal Singh and 30-year-old Manoj, both residents of Bagpat district in Uttar Pradesh, while the accused has been identified as Somveer.
According to the police, they received a call this morning from a passersby in Kamal Vihar colony that two bodies were lying in semi-naked condition in a vacant plot in the area.

Soon a police team reached the spot and began investigations.
"After questioning the neighbours, police came to know that Shahmser Singh had come to meet his son's father-in-law Somveer along with his friend Manoj," said a senior police officer.
Both of them were staying at Somveer's house, opposite the vacant plot where the bodies were found. Last night they were having drinks in the vacant plot.
"It is said that Somveer was angry over the treatment meted out his daughter by Singh's family," the police said.
They were discussing over the issue during which they had an argument.
Somveer, in a fit of rage, first strangulated the victims and then threw acid on their face and bodies, so that they could not be identified.
He then threw the bodies in the vacant plot opposite his house.
"Police have arrested Somveer and are interrogating him if other persons were also involved in the double murder," said a police officer.
