A two-year-old girl was allegedly killed by her father in Raipur village in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district as he suspected his wife was going to give birth to a third daughter, police said today.
The accused, Rinku (28), got married to one Soniya (25) who had a daughter with her first husband four years ago. Two years later she gave birth to the victim Vishakha, Circle Officer Chandra Dhar Gaur said.
After this Soniya once again got pregnant and was admitted to Community Health Centre in Aurangabad town on Friday for delivery, he said.

Later, Soniya gave birth to a male child.
On the complaint of Ram Chander, victim's uncle, an FIR was lodged against Rinku, he said.
The accused's six-year-old step daughter gave a testimony against him after which police arrested him, the CO said, adding during interrogation he admitted to killing his daughter.
