A 35-year-old man allegedly killed his mother today after she scolded his wife for not doing domestic work properly, police said.
The accused, Aman Singh, smothered to death his mother Sani Bai (60) at their home in Ajanda village under Nanpur police station limits in the district after she chided his wife Sangita for not being efficient in household work, Sub-Divisional Officer of Police Anand Singh Vaskala told PTI.
The accused was subsequently arrested, he said, adding that an offence was registered against him under relevant sections.
Aman worked as a labourer with his two brothers in Gujarat and had come home last week.
