A 23-year-old man was today arrested after he killed his mother at Khumbikhurd village in Palamau district, police said.
The accused hacked his 48-year-old mother with an axe following an altercation between them. The woman died on the spot, Superintendent of Police Indrajeet Mahatha said.
Investigation has been launched and the body has been sent for post-mortem at Sadar hospital in Medininagar, the SP said.
