A tribal man allegedly killed his uncle after a dispute over a piece of land in Jharkhand' West Singhbhum district, police said Friday.
Superintendent of Police Indrajeet Mahata said that the 30-year-old accused, Charan Balmuchu was arrested on Thursday.
He has confessed to hitting his 45-year-old uncle, Behra Balmuchu with a stick from behind on July 15 at Sarjom-Ranglai village under Nagra police station of the district, the SP said.
The body was recovered on Thursday and sent for post- mortem, he said.
The deceased had a long-standing dispute with his nephew over a piece of land, the police officer said.
He said a case under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence) was registered against Charan.
The accused was produced before a local court which sent him to 14 days judicial custody, SP said.
