A man allegedly killed his wife by slitting her throat with a knife in Sector-82 here, police said today.
According to police, Grandeur Apartment resident Ajay Grover killed his 48-year-old wife Anju Grover last night when their two daughters were sleeping in the adjoining room.
After killing his wife Ajay went to their daughter's room around 1 am and said he's going. They did not understand as they were in deep sleep. The daughters discovered the body of their mother in the morning, police said.
The knife, used in the crime, has been recovered from the scene, they said, adding that Ajay has been missing since last night.
Police suspect it to be a case of extra-marital affairs.
A case has been registered in this regard and a probe is on, they said.
