A man today allegedly killed his wife for her inability to bear him children in 10 years of their marriage, police said today.
Inability of his wife Rekha to conceive for the last 10 years prompted Jagdish Makwana, who happens to be a Vadodara Municipal Corporation employee, to kill his wife who succumbed to her head injuries, Navapura police station inspector R Jadeja told PTI.
Makwana fled the spot after allegedly killing her in the Baranpura locality city today, police said, adding a manhunt is on to arrest him.
Parents and family members of the deceased alleged that their daughter had complained to them that her husband used to torture her for her inability to conceive.
