Police today arrested a 46-year-old man from Sanvordem village for allegedly murdering his 26-year-old wife at their residence over suspicion about her character.
Mandinath Bhandari had a fight with his wife Manjisha as he suspected her fidelity in morning and assaulted her with sharp weapon due to which she died on the spot, police said.
After the incident, he left Manjisha's body at the house and went for his work.
"The neighbours raised alarm when they found the body. The entire suspicion fell on Bhandari as his blood stained shirt was found from the backyard of the house," police said.
