Man kills wife over suspicion of extra-marital affair

A woman was killed allegedly by her husband on suspicion of having an extra marital affair in Mount Abu area of Sirohi district in Rajasthan, police said today.

The accused Ramesh Garasia, a servant at private farm house suspected that his wife Parta Devi, aged around 25 years had an affair with a local man, SHO Mount Abu Sajjan Singh said.

Last evening, the couple had heated argument over the issue and Garasia hit his wife by a baton, killing her on the spot, the SHO said.

On getting information from other servants, police reached the spot and shifted the body to a hospital's mortuary.
 

The accused, father of a two-year-old girl, who was absconding after the incident was detained today, SHO said.
