A 50-year-old man allegedly murdered his wife and killed himself as they were unable to conceive, in Pachokhara area here, police said today.
Shishyapal shot his wife Guddi (45) dead and later committed suicide in Himmatpur village yesterday, Senior Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar said.
The victims' relatives told police that the couple was unable to conceive, due to which Shishyapal was upset, the SSP said, adding that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
