A woman was strangulated by her husband over her suspected illicit relationship with his friend in Gokul Puri area of north-east Delhi.
"Phoolmuni and her husband Bablu Murmur lived in a rented accommodation in the area. Bablu strangled her to death suspecting that she was having an extra-marital affair with his friend," police said.
The incident came to light this afternoon when Phoolmuni's landlord received no response despite making several phone calls to her.
Police said that sensing something amiss, he informed police who broke open the door and found Phoolmuni dead there.
A manhunt has been launched to nab Bablu.
