A man was beaten to death and four others injured in an attack allegedly by a group of people over a dispute concerning a piece of land in Barmer district of Rajasthan today.
The assailants caught Polaram Meghwal and four others in Bhakarpur village in Balotara area and thrashed them badly, police said.
Meghwal was killed on the spot while the others were rushed to a nearby hospital.
"A piece of land was the dispute between two groups of villages for some time.
"Members of one group today opened attack on the rival group which left Meghwal dead," a police officer said.
A case against 21 people has been registered, he said.
