A 35-year-old man was mauled to death by a leopard in Ramnagar area of Nainital district.
The incident occured last evening when the victim, Paramjit Singh, was working in the fields, according to officials.
When Singh didn't return home till late, his wife informed the local villagers who found his half-eaten body near the fields.
Irate villagers have demanded that the forest department either trap or kill the man-eating leopard.
