A man and his mother were today sentenced to life for burning to death his wife at Jagirammapalayam.
According to police, the 34-year-old man and his mother doused the victim with kerosene and set her ablaze on September 21, 2009, over her refusal to bring more dowry.
Additional district judge Rajasekar also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 each on the duo.
