Man mowed down

A 45-year-old man was crushed to

death by an unidentified vehicle in east Delhi's Mayur Vihar last night, police said today.

As per police, the victim has been identified as Manoj, a resident of Acharya Niketan in Mayur Vihar Phase-1. An unidentified vehicle crushed him at around 10:15 PM last night when he was crossing the road near Hilton Hotel. The driver of the vehicle fled from the spot.

As some passersby made a PCR call, police took him to Lal Bahadur Shashtri Hospital where he was declared brought dead. His body has been handed over to his family after postmortem.
 

Manoj, who worked at a sweet shop, is survived by a son and two daughters.

A case of rash driving and causing death due to negligence has been registered at Mayur Vihar police station, police said.
