A 40-year-old man was run over by a train near Chachoki village here, police said today.
The victim has been identified as Kuldip Singh, a resident of Chachoki village, local GRP post in-charge Gurbhej Singh said.
Kuldip had gone out to relieve himself in the wee hours yesterday and when he was crossing the railway track, he did not notice the approaching train and was run over by it, the GRP official said.
The body was handed over to his family after postmortem, he added.
