Double tragedy struck a family in south Kashmir's Kulgam district when a member was allegedly murdered while another died due to heart attack after she came to know about it.
Irshad Hussain (30) was found dead in an orchard in Mirhama area of Kulgam, 75 kms from here, late last night, a police official said.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the man was murdered, he said, adding the body has been sent for post-mortem
As the relatives of the deceased assembled at his residence at Mirhama, one of his cousins -- Nisara Akhtar -- suffered a heart attack and died, the official said.
Meanwhile, police recovered the body of a 60-year-old woman from River Jhelum in Banyari area of Sumbal in Bandipora district, the official said, adding efforts are on to identify the deceased.
