A group of eight to ten youths murdered a man at Dasturnagar around midnight yesterday, police said.
Police identified the deceased as Manoj alias Barkat Suresh Singh Chavan.
Ashok Uttamrao Sardar, the prime accused, was arrested, while some more persons were detained.
According to police, Chavan and the accused had a spat at a bar in Dastur Nagar locality last evening over a minor incident, which led to the attack later around midnight.
Chavan was hit with iron pipes and stones, killing him on the spot, police said.
Police said that Chavan was a history-sheeter.
