Senior Superintendent of Police B.Srikanth told newsmen that the man was addicted to liquor and sought money to buy it.
As his father refused, he came home in an inebriated condition this morning and attacked the 62-year-old man with a sharp-edged instrument when he was asleep at home, killing him, police said.
