A man today allegedly poisoned his daughter-in-law and three grandchildren, two of whom died, in Bakra village in Nalanda district here, police official said.
The incident took place when the accused, identified as Yadu Kewat, allegedly poisoned his daughter-in-law and three grandchildren after she resisted his advances, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Saifur Rahman said.
Kewat mixed some poisonous substance in food that his daughter-in-law Kari Devi (25) consumed and offered the same to her three children, two of whom died, he said.

Devi and her daughter Usha Kumari (6) are battling for life in a government hospital, Rahman said, adding the victims have been identified as Doma Kumar (4) and Asha Kumari (2) and their bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
Kewat's son Chandramauli Kewat lives in Chennai where he works as a labourer, he added.
The accused and his wife Sakunti Devi have been arrested, Rahman said.
