Man posing as anti-corruption sleuth arrested

A 42-year-old man, who allegedly posed as an official from the anti-corruption bureau and demanded Rs 1.5 crore from a private school, has been arrested, police said here today.

Hanumantha Rao allegedly demanded the sum from the school management, saying the institution was indulging in irregularities and misappropriation of funds, they said.

Based on a complaint from the school, Rao was arrested yesterday, police said.
