The Uttarakhand police today arrested a 30-year-old man who allegedly duped people by posing as the personal secretary of Chief Minister Harish Rawat.
The accused, Saurabh Vats, used to introduce himself as the CM's personal secretary and duped the people of money on the pretext of getting their works done, police said.
He was arrested from his home in Patel Nagar area of the city, they said.
Police said the action was taken following complaints of some people who Vats had allegedly cheated.
He is being interrogated, they added.
