Man posted at IGI Airport found dead

A 49-year-old man working at the post office in Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport was today found dead in Sahibabad area here under mysterious circumstances.

Body of Surrendra Dutt Bharatwal, a superintendent at the post office in IGI Airport, was recovered from a drain, police said.

Bharatwal lived with his family in Moti Bagh area of Delhi, and also owned a flat in DLF area of Sahibabad.

He had come to Sahibabad on Monday night and had called up his family saying he would return to Delhi in a few hours, police said.

"Bharatwal went missing since Monday night and his phone was also switched off. There is no possibility of robbery as his mobile phone has been recovered. Besides, no injury marks were also spotted on his body," a senior police officer said.
 

As per preliminary investigation, he possibly died after falling in the drain, the officer said.
