A man allegedly raped her minor step-daughter at their home here, police said Monday.
The man, who worked as a labourer here, attacked the girl Sunday when her mother, a domestic help, was not present at the residence, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rakesh Mishra said.
When the girl tried to raise alarm, he threatened to kill her.
The traumatized girl told her mother about the incident when she returned home. She immediately contacted the police who lodged an FIR against the absconding accused.
The girl was sent for medical examination and the man booked under the POCSO act, Mishra said.
