Mayuniddin had been provided with police security as on July 10, two men had shot at him when he was with his neighbours near his home, police said.
On July 14, he said he did not want security for some time and left the police station but did not return for two days, they said.
After this the family lodged missing persons report with the police, they said.
However, his family later informed the police that they had spoken to Mayuniddin on phone and that he is safe and will return soon, they said, adding he returned today.
