Man robbed by 4 armed assailants

A 28-year-old man was robbed of Rs 15,000 by four unidentified armed assailants in Panchwati area here, police said today.

Based on a complaint filed by Raju Sharma, Kothwal Police registered a case against four accused.

According to police, Raju, who is a water supplier, along with his friend Vikas Chauhan went to take Rs 15,000 from one Rajesh Pandit late last night.

When the duo were returning home, they were interjected by four unidentified armed assailants who tried to rob them, police said, adding, when Raju attempted to stop them, one of the robbers attacked him with an iron rod.
 

A manhunt has been launched to nab the absconding culprits, police added.
