A reportedly mentally-challenged man was today mowed down by a goods train at a railway crossing gate in Keshoraipatan town of Bundi district, police said.
The man, aged around 45 years, died on the spot after he was hit by the train. The identity of the deceased could not ascertained as the body was severely mutilated, ASI Guman Singh said.
The loco-pilot of the train informed the Government Railway Police (GRP) about the mishap, following which they rushed to the spot, he said.
The body is currently placed in a mortuary of a local government hospital, police said, adding efforts are on to establish the identity of the deceased.
