The body of the man, identified as Sumanta Kumar Patra (25), was found at Chadheyapalli village under Buguda police station limit yesterday, they said.
Police suspected he was stoned to death by miscreants.
He was a stone quarry lease holder at Dhunkapada, about 10-km from his village, police said.
