The body of a man was today found lying at a deserted place in Sulur on the outskirts.
Police found both the hands of the man, about 35 years old in appearance, tied and two stones lying near his head.
An empty bottle of kerosene and trace of burnt grass, indicated that attempts were made to burn the body, police said.
The man is yet to be identified, they said.
