The family members of a man, who died in a road accident here, today alleged that his eyes were missing from the body after postmortem, prompting authorities to order a probe into the matter.
Vivek Sahai (22) died last night after which his body was kept at a postmortem house. His family members said this morning that the eye sockets in the body were empty post the autopsy, City Magistrate Rakesh Srivastav said.
Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer, Jhansi, Vinod Yadav has constituted a panel of three doctors to probe the matter and submit a report.
Anything could be ascertained only after the submission of the report, the CMO said.
