A fast-track court here has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for raping and murdering a 22-year-old girl four years ago.
Additional District Judge Manorama yesterday sentenced Dori Lal and also slapped a fine of Rs 22,000 on him.
According to the prosecution, the accused Dori Lal had assaulted the girl of same village on December 28, 2010 when she was alone in the house.
Later he set her ablaze, government lawyer Vinod Yadav said.
The victim had got married in 2009 but was living at her parental home few days after the marriage, he said.
