A man shot at his tenant's nephew this morning in Sector 27 of Noida over an ongoing rent dispute between them following which traders in the area took to the streets in protest demanding police action against him.
Shibbu Awana, the owner of a shop at Atta Market in Sector 27 of the district, opened fire at Naveen Ahuja (28) after he refused to give heed to his threats with regard to an ongoing rent dispute between them, police said.
Naveen's uncle Kulbhujan Ahuja had taken Awana's shop on lease and was running his furniture business on the property for over two decades.

Awana had threatened Kulbhushan to shut the shop until further notice by the court and the shop was closed since past few months.
Defying the landlord's request, Kulbhushan and his nephew Naveen today reopened the shop which angered Awana. He reached the shop today and opened fire at Naveen after a heated argument betweem them. Awana has been absconding after the incident.
"A FIR has been lodged against Shibbu and we hope to arrest him soon," SP City Yogesh Singh said.
Naveen, who received four bullet injuries including in his thigh, shoulder and abdomen, was rushed to a nearby hospital and his condition is stated to be critical.
Meanwhile, traders blocked traffic on road towards sector 37 and staged a protest near Noida sector 18 metro station. Authorites also closed the Atta market entry and exit of the station for an hour this morning to avoid any untoward incident.
